Hormone replacement therapy can effectively control symptoms of hormone imbalances in both men and women. If you are experiencing a lack of drive, low motivation, fatigue, mental fogginess, mood swings, or unexplained weight changes, these may be signs of hormonal imbalances including low testosterone, estrogen, and/or progesterone.
We offer customizable hormone replacement therapy tailored to your individual needs and health profile. There are various methods to administer HRT, with bioidentical hormone pellets being one of the most popular and well-tolerated options for both men and women. During your consultation, we will discuss your specific concerns and health history to determine which treatment method best fits your unique situation.
Laboratory testing will be ordered to ensure proper dosing and optimal outcomes. Once your lab results are reviewed, you will return to the office for your first treatment. Pellet insertion is a quick 10-15 minute procedure performed in our office.
Please note that additional fees apply for laboratory testing and office visits. All treatment plans are customized based on your individual hormone levels and health needs.
How many treatments are required?
Depending on the method you choose, treatment frequency will vary. Pellets are placed every 3 months. Creams are applied multiple times a day.
What's the downtime?
Again, depending on the method you're doing, downtime can vary from none to minimal. With pellets, you'll need to avoid baths and hot tubs for 2 days, no vigorous scrubbing of the site for a week, and no heavy lifting, exercise that causes impact, or vigorous activities for 3-5 days. The site may be uncomfortable for up to 2-3 weeks.
Does the treatment hurt?
A local numbing shot is done prior to pellet placement. Some stinging with the shot and pressure wile placing the pellet is normal. The site may be sore or tender for up to 2-3 weeks, but overall is very tolerated by patients.
