JUVÉDERM Voluma® XC is the first FDA-approved dermal filler to correct age-related volume loss in the midface. The injectable gel is the first filler FDA-approved for deep injection in the cheek area to correct age-related volume loss. JUVÉDERM Voluma® XC is for patients over the age of 21.
JUVÉDERM Voluma® XC is from the makers of the #1 family of fillers, but it is different than JUVÉDERM XC and works on a different area of the face. While JUVÉDERM XC smoothes out moderate to severe wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth, JUVÉDERM Voluma® XC adds volume to the cheek area. It is clinically proven to last up to 2 years with optimal treatment.
It is a hyaluronic acid filler, derived from a naturally occurring, hydrating substance found in your skin. In its natural form, hyaluronic acid is a sugar found in the skin and joints. Hyaluronic fillers are synthetic, biodegradable versions of these naturally occurring sugars and are considered to be extremely safe.
JUVÉDERM is priced per syringe.

JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC injectable gel is a smooth, colorless hyaluronic acid (HA) gel that contains a small quantity of local anesthetic (lidocaine). HA is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body. The role of HA in the skin is to deliver nutrients and help the skin retain its natural moisture and softness. The addition of lidocaine helps to improve the comfort of the injection. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC injectable gel is manufactured using VYCROSS™ technology to give a specialized smooth-gel filler that produces long-lasting results at the treatment site. JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC is delivered by an injection into the cheek and surrounding area of the mid-face to correct volume and fullness.
