Melasma is a condition in which pools of pigment appear on the the skin.  Most commonly, these pigmented areas appear as a "mask" on the face.  Hormonally driven and not laser-friendly, this type of pigment is best corrected with a potent chemical peel.  Bright Peel Ultra is performed as a single treatment.  Peeling will occur as the skin is brightened.

Bright Peel Ultra is not recommended while pregnant or nursing.

  • FAQ

What is the Bright Peel Ultra?

Bright Peel Ultra is a superficial chemical peel designed to improve the texture and appearance of the skin. It entails application of a cream masque and an at-home regimen. There is no pain and little-to-no irritation during the application of the masque. Typically, the irritation level on the following 3-4 days is more like a sunburn.

    How does it work?

The Bright 1 Masque is applied during an office visit where it is compounded freshly to ensure its potency and reliability. The masque is removed by the patient after a required length of time depending on skin type. Patients leave the office with this masque on their face. Patients are responsible for adhering to an easy-to-follow, but strict, at-home regimen involving the application of several Bright products following masque removal.

    What results can I expect?

Results will vary but generally patients will see improvement in skin texture and appearance. Although most patients experience superficial peeling of the skin, not every patient will notice this. If you do not notice actual peeling, please know that you are still receiving all the benefits of the Bright Peel Ultra.  Proper skin evaluation by your doctor prior to your peel is important and will help predict the outcome.

    Who should not be treated?

Bright Peel Ultra SHOULD NOT be used on patients with active cold sores or warts, skin with open wounds, sunburn, excessively sensitive skin, dermatitis or inflammatory rosacea in the area to be treated. Inform your medical professional if you have any history of herpes simplex, allergies, rashes, or other skin reactions, or may be sensitive to any of the components. This peel is not recommended if you have taken Accutane within the past year, or received chemotherapy or radiation therapy.  Bright Peel Ultra should not be administered to pregnant or breastfeeding (lactating) women.
